"Regarding the Alumni association - this is indeed a very good idea and will help keep all the alumni remain in touch with each other and with the department. At this point, there is no bank account for this purpose. We will need to open a fresh one, which I believe can be done without much problem. The only thing that will be needed for the bank account of this kind is a formal resolution about the formation of an association and to identify the persons who will be responsible for operating the account. Therefore, you all should decide on a name for the association and identify the local persons who will be responsible for operating the account. Obviously some or all of the current faculty members of MHG will need to be involved in this.
Also, go ahead with the idea of an interactive blogspot for MHGians. Theis interaction, especially the feed-back would be very useful indeed.
The enthusiasm of MHG alumni is indeed very encouraging and satisfying for all of us. "

hi everyone
i think now that SCL has blown the green signal we must jump into this issue to get it done on paper.
i have been requesting all for your suggestion regarding:
1. what should be the structure of this alumni or what are the posts that need to be created for the proper functioning of this body
2. how can we make sure whom to be given the few administrative responsibilities.
3. what will be the different aspects of functioning of our alumni i.e other than the funding stuff what else can be incorporated to make it scientifically as well as academically active.
4. invite the teachers for suggestions and advise in the best possible way.
5. choose the best person from india who can actually communicate as well as physically be present at bhu to get things done (may be on behalf of the administrative responsible persons)
6. whether we can approach and request JKR for taking up the responsibility of accounts section.
hope you all will consider these points and come up with valuable suggestions as soon as possible!!

hi all,
if people consider my opinion then among the mhg faculty as said by scl for involvement, then i think Ashim da, GN, or gita rai vl be most suitable candidate. these people vl also like to put up their views n vl definately help us too.
